GE: It’s always nice to see a female trying to make it in this rap game.

NR: How did you become an MC? I’ve been rapping since high school.

GE: There aren’t many, if any, female rappers that are hot right now.  How do you plan to make a name for yourself?

NR: I already have made a name for myself, I just keeping grinding hard and it’s already paying off

GE: Who has been your biggest influence?

NR: MC LYTE, Salt-N-Pepa

GE: Recently, you were nominated for 2009 Mixtape Artist of the Year.  Congratulations on that!  Did it come as a surprise?

NR: Well, I’ve already been nominated twice before for “independent artist of the year” so it didn’t come as much of a surprise

GE: You have opened for many great artists, such as UGK, Scarface, and T.I. What was that experience like?

NR: It was cool getting my feet wet on that stage..

GE: Who are some artists you would love to work with?

NR: Mary J. Blige for starters, T.I. and Bun B

GE: Do you feel pressure to sign with a major label or would you rather stay underground?

NR: Nah, it’s more money to be made independent & I get to call my own shots, it would have to be the right kind of deal for me to sign though

GE: Whats its like out there in Cashville?

NR: Man let me tell you, its hard to come up here in Cashville, you got alot of haters that don’t want to see you make cause they trying to get it too, and they definitely ain’t trying to see no female outshine em….it’s cool though, haters keep my grind up..

GE: Whats next for the talented Nina Ross, South’s Royal Highness?

NR: Right now I’m gearing up for a mixtape with DJ Smalls for the SEA’s

GE: Kick a hot verse for all ya fans out there!

NR: Yeah I’m the boss I’m the truth I’m the shit I’m a Queen I’m the problem that these hoes can’t fix/ you say you all this, you say you all that/ if you ain’t in my top friends baby you ain’t saying jack…
