Rumor: Universal Not Releasing Lil Wayne’s “Rebirth”

According to rumors, the record label’s executives fear that the album could fail and knock Weezy from being the top-selling artist.

According to rumors, the record label’s executives fear that the album could fail and knock Weezy from being the top-selling artist.

ThisIs50.com reports that Universal have warned Wayne through his manager Cortez Bryant, saying that “if Wayne doesn’t brighten up they have to turn into Mr. Evil Record Company and just tell him it’s never going to be released.”

Wayne’s Rock album was previously pushed back from April 7 to May 19. The first single Prom Queen has been released in January and rose to # 15 on Billboard Hot 100.
