GritsandEggs.com: What’s up, how’s it been going?

FLY: The last couple of months, we’ve been working on the album that’s finished. It’s coming out June 23rd, it’s called the Jamboree. We worked with K on the Track, he produced seven of our songs. He also produced Swag Surfin’. Then we have DJ Spins, the Number 9th in Deed, and a producer named Dre. We have a song with Young Dro, Sammie, and an up and coming group from Stone Mountain named Band Beats.

GritsandEggs.com: Wow! What was it like to work with Young Dro?

FLY: It was cool. It was really cool, we liked working with everybody. You learn something from everybody that you work with.

GritsandEggs.com: Tell me, how did you come up with your name?

FLY: Well, we all like to have fun at the parties and we are young, we like to work hard, and we’re fly. We’re just some fly guys.

GritsandEggs.com: I read that you guys have only been rapping for like two years. Are you surprised how fast this experience has been moving for you all?

FLY: We actually been rapping for more than two years but we’ve only been together for two years. We were in two different groups in high school but then we switched groups around.  Hence the FAST LIFE YOUNGSTAZ.

GritsandEggs.com: How did the concept for Swag Surfing come along?

FLY: Surfin’ was a dance that came from South Clayton County in 2004 but nobody really caught on to it until we started doing it. You have to swag when you surf.

GritsandEggs.com: There are two videos on YouTube. One before Def Jam and one after, why did you decide to keep the original concept?

FLY: The first video we did was real cool so we decided to keep it. It was cool.

GritsandEGgs.com: Now that your single is sweeping the nation, what’s next for you?

FLY: We’re just going to work real hard.

GritsandEggs.com: What has been the craziest thing that has happened to you thus far?

FLY: We have family members coming out of the wood works. We get a different cousin every day.

GritsandEggs.com: What’s next for you?

FLY: We have our new single dropping called “Mr. Lenox.”
